For Love of Water
I am wondering if all children have the same fascination that Isabelle has. Namely: water. But, wait. Not just any water! In particular, toilet water and bath water. If given any small window of opportunity, she will make her way to the bathroom and lift the toilet lid. Before I can follow her in, she has her hands swishing through toilet water!!! I cannot tell you how many little confrontations we have had over this! But her love of the toilet gets the best of her everytime. I am convinced that if she could get her head in there, she would drink it…just like a puppy…..too much information?
Which leads me to our next issue: Bath water. Isabelle is bathing nicely in a warm sudsy tub and I turn my head to get the soap and I hear a slurping sound. She has her head bent and is sipping bathwater! Seriously. Today she even had a nice suds mustache. Seriously!! For this, I couldn’t help but laugh…and grab my camera.

That is too funny! Levi loves the bath too. However, he hasn't drinking his bath water yet!
Both my kids love the bath - Luke just slaps his hands and makes a lake in the bathroom. However, Carlie, now four, has transitioned to showers, but when she does take a bath, she pretends to swim, dunk her head under. I have, however, tried to restrict her bubble blowing! :)
At a year old that is cute, at 4 - not so much!
I guess it is better that she drinks from the tub than the toilet overall. And we know she is a Payne if she loves a bath and to be clean (we are all clean freaks when it comes to hygiene and taking more than one shower a day). Give her kisses for Aunt Jona and Uncle Eric
Well, at least she is amused by the simple things in life! Enjoy it while it lasts!
She's such a cutie!
DJ never cared much for toilet water. Ellie, on the otherhand, would have played in it all day if I would have let her (much to her grandparent's amusement). Both of them love to drink bath water...always have. They turn on the faucet and drink, they put their heads in and drink, and their favorite is to drink bath water out of the rinse cups. I do my best to stop it, but sometimes at 8:30 pm after a LONG day of battles I just don't have the energy. :-)

Declan hasn't bent down to drink the bathwater yet. He uses the cup. Does she like the shower?
