Baby Update

On Tuesday I had my 36 week prenatal exam. This also marks the week where they start checking to see if you are dilating or effacing. And by 36 weeks I’m always amazed how much I’m ready to be checked for this! Needless to say, I have not progressed at all.
Keep in mind, that I also just started twice weekly “Non-Stress Tests” for the baby, and I am supposed to count fetal movement twice a day. So my regular OB appointment is in addition to this. That means, at this point I have three doctors appointments per week. A little overkill, you think?

So, as of today, I am 28 days away from my due date, but hopefully we will deliver even earlier than that, if my body cooperates! Also, as of my last ultra sound, about two weeks ago, they estimated the baby at 5 and a half pounds, which was in the 50-60% percentile. I know they are not always right on, and the further along you get, the less accurate they are.

Now you know all we know on this topic. Make sure you keep checking in…remember after 37 weeks, a baby is considered full term. One more week and he/she can come anytime they are ready….

We can't wait to see what the baby is. We are anxiously awaiting boy/girl. We hope it won't be 4 more weeks either. Hope you are feeling well and we hope to see you soon.

I'm also counting the days, although not with the same expectations that you are, I'm sure. I hope to see Isabelle tonight at Oma and Opa's (unless I can convince them to stop and see me at home) Enjoy the quiet and get some rest. Take care......

Hang in there with the doctor's appts. I'll be praying for God's perfect timing for this baby's arrival. Love the Conrad baby pics. This apple didn't follow far from the tree (one of my favorite "Payneisms")

Did they mention anything about gest. diab. and post term deliveries (higher potential)? But, usually gest. diab. have bigger than normal babies. Again, you don't usually do things according to the norm......
Here's to a normal size baby(at least 7#) and perfect timing for a fully "cooked" baby!

Hang in there w/ the multiple MD appointments. With Carlie, I was seen twice a week w/ the MD, and 2 nonstress tests and ultrasounds a week by 24 weeks and she was born at 8 weeks early! Hope you are feeling well this last stretch of your pregnancy!
