Grace's Birthday...A Week of Celebration

We celebrated Grace's 2nd Birthday All.Week.Long. It was fun for us, although she really isn't getting it that much. Every time I said, "Grace, Happy Birthday!" She would reply with, "Happy Birthday, Mommy!" Oh well!

We started off with cupcakes at daycare for Grace's class. It was a crazy busy week, so they weren't too fancy, just brownies with canned frosting. But, really, how much fancy can a gaggle of two year olds really take? Now the teachers on the other hand? They got canned cupcakes as a take home treat. Yum!

Then the kids went to spend a few days with my parents while I had a work conference in Cleveland. Conrad joined me on Friday and we enjoyed yummy seafood, lots of desserts, movies, and sleep. All of those lovely things you miss when you have a house full of small children.

On Sunday we had a family party for Grace. She got lot's of thoughtful gifts from our family and had such a good time playing with her cousins! We painted names on bags and t-shirts...which was really interested with a bunch of preschoolers. And then we had a mini hayride, which the kids loved! Well, Gracie loved it till she fell asleep!

All in all, it was a fun weekend! Happy Birthday Little One!

I love the pics. Abe is having birthday month:) (No one here cares, so he's opening a gift a week... spread out the joy). Sometimes my heart aches when I see those girls getting big. It would have been fun to raise our children close by, to see them get big together. :( The other side of the world is so far away...

Happy Birthday sweet Gracie-we have so much fun and I have to tell Gracie's football story. Aunt Brenda and I took Isabelle & Gracie to Edison's Homecoming football game. Warm weather - to watch Brittany cheer and see the band/majorettes. As we walked up Gracie hear the drums and she said, Oma drum. Perceptive child. We stood by the fence to watch Brittany and the Chargers made an interception and the crowd went wild. Well, Gracie looks around and thought they were cheering for her - so she started waving and smiling and looking around at everyone. We laughed so hard. The girls LOVED LOVED the football game and they were so good. Love and kisses to my sweet Gracie Christine!!!
