Look who is using the potty...well...not exactly THIS potty. She's using it at daycare, with all of the other kids..but not so much at home. It's a start. Is it unrealistic that we'll have her out of diapers by the time Number Two comes along in October???

Cute picture. One day she will not like you for doing that to her, if the picture is still around. You know I'm not the voice of experience, but I just bet that she will be trained when #2 gets here. If she is doing well at daycare, it won't be long before she does the same at home.

I agree w/ Brenda! Carlie was 2 years old exactly when she was fully potty trained. We started at about 18 months and within a matter of weeks of starting daycare, she was potty trained. Our treat to her everytime she went in the potty was an M&M! It was a huge hit and success.
I hope for your sake that she is potty trained. It would be nice to have only one child in diapers at a time. we miss you guys and we hope to see you again soon. We are going to be at mom and dad's next weekend (the first weekend in May). Maybe we will see you soon.

WOW!! I'm so impressed. She's not even 2 and has an interest for the potty. That is great. When I had my second child we went through that double diaper duty for a few months it wasn't fun. I used a sticker chart everytime she pottied she got to put a sticker on her chart. That was what worked for her and plenty of praise.
It is certainly not out of the question...a definate possibility.... Here comes the but, not the kind that goes on the potty, it's not unusual to go backwards when a new baby comes home. Kaelee was 3 when Ellie was born, and had been potty trained for 6 months or so (I think)--and then she sort of "forgot" that she was a big girl... They had trouble with that for a few months after the new baby (Ellie) came home. All of my grandkids (6), so far (2 to go yet) were late bloomers on the potty trail.....
Treats and prizes are great ideas for training. Prizes worked reallly well with Antonio (although, we are still in the "training" phase with him). Little trinkets that don't cost much go along way for incentive!
I am sure it will all come out well in the end--hee hee!
Enjoy the ride!
